Boeing and the U.S. Department of Justice have signed an agreement that removes the risk of the OEM being prosecuted for two 737 MAX 8 crashes killed 346 passengers and crew. Read More » Terms of the non-prosecution agreement are that Boeing will admit to “conspiracy to obstruct and impede” and agree to “pay or invest” US$1.1 billion. The financial breakdown of the settlement is a US$243.6 million fine, US$444.5 million towards a new fund for crash victims and US$445 million for compliance, safety and quality programs, U.S. federal court filings outlined late last week.
