Taiwan-headquartered China Airlines (CAL) has selected Hong Kong-based HAECO to provide landing gear maintenance, repair and overhaul services for its fleet of 737-800 aircraft. The airline said seven 737-800s were expected to be serviced at HAECO’s facilities in Xiamen between 2025 and 2027.

DHL Express’s aviation business, DHL Aviation, has introduced a premium service offering, Xcelerate, for customers looking to move cargo in the shortest time possible, often at short notice and with priority handling.

Urban air mobility company, Eve Air Mobility, has been awarded a grant from Brazil’s Funding Authority for Studies and Projects (FINEP) of up to 90 million real (US$15.8 million). The company is partnering with FINEP and contributing funding to a project worth up to 191 million real to accelerate sustainable aviation and digital innovation. “This grant will enable us to accelerate the development of advanced digital solutions and technologies that will shape the future of urban air mobility in Brazil and beyond,” Eve CEO, Johann Bordais, said.

Malaysia Airports has launched the first phase of its 200-acre Selangor Aero Park development at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, with GE Aerospace the launch customer. The company said it planned to progressively release a further 400 acres within the facility after 2028.

Thales Group has opened a new hub focused on the design, development, and testing of next-generation inflight entertainment systems at its facility in Bengaluru.
