Thailand’s Krabi airport attracts eight more airlines

Five of the airlines - Etihad Airways, Air Arabia, Malaysia Airlines, Firefly Airlines and Loong Air, have formally requested landing slots in Krabi, a major boost in direct international flights for the airport. At present around 50 flights a week operate into Krabi. “This speaks to the growing international appeal and readiness of Krabi airport. The slot requests from Etihad Airways and Air Arabia mark the first time Krabi will have direct air links with the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East; major milestones for regional air connectivity,” the deputy minister said.
