Akasa Air adds Thailand to international network

Akasa Air has selected Phuket as its sixth international destination and its first India-Southeast Asia route. Read More » The India-headquartered carrier will fly daily Mumbai-Phuket from September 20, operating as a morning departure from India and afternoon take-off from southern Thailand. "India is entering a new era of outbound tourism powered by its large population of globally curious flyers," Akasa Air chief commercial officer, Praveen Iyer, said. "We remain committed to building a holistic network by expanding on strategically significant international corridors and catering to travel-ready India, backed by our signature Akasa experience." The popular resort province joins Akasa Air’s international network to Abu Dhabi, Doha, Jeddah, Riyadh and Kuwait. At present, India LCC, IndiGo, flies nonstop Mumbai-Phuket.
