International air travellers to Australia increased 4.9% in June

Passengers flying in and out of Australia numbered 3.4 million in June compared with 3.3 million in the same month a year ago. Read More » Qantas Airways topped the market share table with 16% of international passengers transported, down from its 16.3% share in June 2024. Qantas Group LCC, Jetstar Airways, was runner-up for the 30 days with 13.5% of all international passengers carried, an increase from 11.8% a year ago. Singapore Airlines (SIA) was Australia’s largest foreign carrier by passenger market share in the month, at 9.4%, well ahead of Emirates Airline and Air New Zealand at 6.5% and 6.3%, respectively. SIA topped the monthly table for international freight with 15.2% of the market ahead of Qantas (9.9%) and Emirates (6.4%).
