ATR has been selected by the European Union Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking to lead two projects demonstrating the integration of hybrid-electric propulsion, advanced propeller systems and electrified aircraft systems on a regional aircraft.
Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) carrier, Malaysia Airlines, has signed partnerships with the tourism boards of Langkawi, Penang and Sarawak with the goal of attracting more international visitors to Malaysia ahead of Visit Malaysia Year in 2026. "By joining hands with our state tourism boards, we are unlocking opportunities to grow tourism, empower local communities, and deliver world class travel powered by digital innovation," MAG chief commercial officer airlines, Dersenish Aresandiran, said.
U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) administrator, Bryan Bedford, has told reporters in Washington D.C. Boeing has made progress on improving its production processes on the 737 MAX, following the Alaska Airlines 737 MAX 9 incident in 2024 when a door plug blew out shortly after take-off. Despite the progress, the FAA had not made a decision to lift the cap limiting Boeing to the production of 38 737 MAX aircraft a month, he said.
