Qantas Airways inaugurates A321XLR flights

Qantas is the first airline in the Asia-Pacific to fly the new aircraft type and the fourth airline globally. The carrier’s third A321XLR is scheduled to arrive in November. The type’s fleet is planned to increase to seven by June next year. In August, Qantas ordered an additional 20 A321XLRs with 16 of them fitted with lie-flat business seats to serve longer routes, including trans-continental services to and from Perth, and short and medium haul international routes, taking the carrier’s A321XLR order to 48.
