HKIA reports 9.2% more passengers travelled through airport last month

Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) said 4.4 million passengers travelled through its two terminals in September, an improvement from 4 million passengers in the same month in 2024. Read More » Flight movements increased 1.6%, while cargo tonnage fell 1% in the 30 days, Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) said. "The growth rates were moderate in comparison to the first eight months of 2025, partly due to multiple typhoons during the month," AAHK said. "But significant growth was sighted during the past nine months in such origins-destinations as the Mainland, Taiwan, Japan and Vietnam."
