China Airlines plans to launch 787 commercial operations in June 2026

Read More » The commercial debut is planned for June 2026 on the Taipei - Bangkok or the Taipei - Tokyo route. In 2026, the SkyTeam carrier should accept three to five 787s, Chen Han-ming, CAL president, told the media during a press event in Bangkok. China Airlines ordered in total of 24 787s, including six 787-10 variants, with the delivery dates originally scheduled for 2025. The aircraft will replace the current Airbus A330-300 fleet and allow further expansion of medium-haul and long-haul routes.
