AirAsia Malaysia will start nonstop flights to Kunming in Mainland China from Johor Bahru next month. Read More » The LCC has scheduled three flights a week on the route, which will take off on December 14 and operate as late evening service from Johor Bahru and an overnight return from Kunming. AirAsia Malaysia already serves Kunming from Kuala Lumpur alongside Batik Air Malaysia and China Eastern Airlines. "We are not just growing our network, we are redefining Malaysia’s connectivity within the region to the world," AirAsia Malaysia CEO, Dato’ Captain Fareh Mazputra, said. "The launch of this new Johor Bahru-Kunming route marks our commitment to expanding beyond Kuala Lumpur and strengthening key regional hubs across the country." Kunming, located in Yunnan Province in southwestern China, will be AirAsia Malaysia’s 13th destination in the country.
