KLIA posts double-digit passenger growth for October

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), part of Malaysia Airports Group’s (MAG) portfolio of airports, increased the number of passengers travelling through its two terminals by 15% to 5.4 million in October, from 4.7 million in the same month last year. Read More » More broadly, MAG’s airports in Malaysia and Türkiye had 125.7 million passengers in October, up 11.8% from 112.5 million a year earlier. The company’s airports in Malaysia had 8.8 million passengers over the 31 days, a 14% improvement from 7.7 million in October 2024. "Recent challenges have made us more deliberate in strengthening proactive risk mitigation across our network," Malaysia Airports managing director, Dato’ Mohd Izani Ghani, said. "Managing 39 airports nationwide means constant coordination, anticipating issues early, and keeping operations steady the vast majority of the time. With passenger movements gaining healthy momentum, we are sharpening our focus on vigilance, readiness and flexibility."
