Boeing has received an order for 50 737 MAX family aircraft from Aviation Capital Group, comprising 25 737 MAX 8s and 25 737 MAX 10s. The order lifts the lessor’s order book with Boeing to 121 737 MAX family aircraft.
Still with Boeing, U.S. carrier Delta Air Lines will add a new type to its fleet with an order for 30 787-10 aircraft. It was also announced Delta had the opportunity to purchase a further 30 of the type. The largest Boeing widebodies in the Delta passenger fleet are the 767-300ER and 767-400ER.
Lessor AerCap Holdings has signed a purchase and leaseback agreement with Virgin Atlantic for six A330-900s.
Etihad Airways has reported 22.4 million passengers flown for calendar 2025, up 21% from 18.5 million in 2024. Passenger road factor rose 1.5 percentage points to 88.3%.
Malaysia Airports Holdings and Cenergi SEA have set up a joint-venture business to develop a solar power plant and battery system at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) acropolis precinct. The project is designed to supply energy for operations at KLIA.
