China Eastern Airlines starts 2026 with drop in passengers carried

Overall passenger capacity, measured by available seat kilometres, was 3.5% lower and passenger load factor increased 2.2 percentage points to 85% in the month. At January 31, the Shanghai-headquartered airline had a fleet of 825 aircraft, against 826 at the end of December.
