Thai AirAsia posts double-digit jump in load factor to China for Lunar New Year

Read More » The LCC said the strong growth in travel demand from Mainland China to Thailand was particularly from Changsha, Chongqing and Wuhan. "This Lunar New Year has brought palpable energy back to the tourism sector," Tansita said. "The atmosphere at the airport is bustling, which is a highly positive indicator that Thailand remains a top-of-mind destination for Chinese travellers." The Thailand-China market has been boosted by visa-free travel for citizens of both countries. "We are also seeing a reciprocal trend, with more Thai travellers visiting China to explore its renowned natural beauty, driven largely by the mutual visa-waiver agreement that has made cross-border travel seamless," Tansita said.
