Singapore Changi reports 3% drop in passengers

Singapore Changi Airport reported 5.97 million passengers passed through its four terminals in January, representing a 3% decline from the 6.16 million passengers in the same month last year. Despite the year-on-year decline, passenger volumes were 5.5% above the 5.66 million in the pre-COVID-19 month of January 2019. Air freight volumes were 7% higher at 171,000 tonnes compared with the prior year, Changi Airport Group said, while the number of commercial aircraft movements was down 1.1% year-on-year at 32,700. The airport finished just shy of 70 million passengers last year, finishing 2025 with a total of 69.98 million travellers through the airport.
