Thai Airways headed to Changsha

Thai Airways International (THAI) is expanding its Mainland China network in May with a new daily nonstop service to Changsha from its Bangkok Suvarnabhumi hub. Read More » The route is due to commence on May 10 with A320 aircraft. The flights have been scheduled as an afternoon departure to Changsha - the capital of Hunan Province in central China - and a late evening takeoff for the return to Bangkok. The route was suspended at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Changsha will be the Star Alliance member’s sixth destination in Mainland China alongside existing service to Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Kunming and Shanghai. "Whether you seek cultural discovery, culinary exploration, scenic wonders, or new travel inspiration, Changsha offers a journey rich in depth and diversity," THAI said. There are currently five airlines flying between Changsha and Bangkok area airports - Beijing Capital Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Xiamen Air serve Suvarnabhumi, while Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air operate out of Don Mueang.
