Fiji Airways has announced the appointment of former Virgin Australia executive and Macquarie Bank aviation analyst, Russell Shaw, as chief of network, revenue and alliances. Read More » The airline also named Gai Tyrrell, as its new regional director for the Australia and N.Z. markets. Tyrrell, who was previously Hawaiian Airlines Australia and N.Z. regional director and Sabre Pacific CEO, takes over from John Nickel, who has taken on the role of regional general manager for the Pacific Islands. "These appointments strengthen Fiji Airways’ commercial capability as we continue to optimise our network, deepen trade partnerships and position the airline for its next phase of growth across Australia, New Zealand, North America and the Pacific," Fiji Airways said in a post on social media.
