Boeing rejects Emirates’ request for 787-10 redesign

Read More » "The plan is not to change the aircraft, we really like what we have," Randy Tinseth, vice president marketing at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, told reporters in Dubai when asked about a potential redesign of the aircraft for Emirates.
Emirates, the largest B777 operator, last month said it would delay an order decision for nearly 100 long-haul aircraft to next year, with either Boeing for its 787-10 or Airbus for the A350-900.
Emirates chief, Tim Clark, has raised doubts about the 787-10's ability to carry heavy passenger and cargo loads beyond eight hours due to the performance in hot climates - an issue for a Gulf carrier. To date, Airbus has received 598 orders for the A350. Boeing has received 146 commitments for the -10.
