Korean carriers firm Airbus, Boeing orders

Asiana Airlines, South Korea’s second largest carrier, has firmed up an order with Airbus for 25 A321neos to gradually replace its A320/A321ceos from 2019 to 2025. Read More »

Korean Air, like its rival, Asiana, also has opted for the re-engined A321. Korean Air agreed to buy 30 A321neos, worth approximately $3.7 billion at list prices, while taking another 20 on options.

On Thursday, Korean finalized the airline's order for 30 B737 MAXs and two more B777-300ERs, valued at nearly $4 billion at current list prices. Korean also holds options for 20 additional MAXs as part of the order, which was previously announced as a commitment at the Paris Air Show in June.
