Cathay Pacific touches down in Seattle

Read More » The inaugural CX852, operated by A350-900 registration B-LRJ featuring the retro "lettuce leaf sandwich" livery, took off from Hong Kong shortly before 1400 local time yesterday (March 30) and landed in Seattle about 11 hours later. The aircraft was on the ground for about two hours before operating the reciprocal CX853 back to Hong Kong. The oneworld alliance member is the only airline flying nonstop between Seattle and Hong Kong. The new route lifts Cathay's overall schedule to North America to about 120 flights a week to nine destinations - Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver. "This new service not only enhances connectivity for business and leisure travellers, but also reinforces our role in supporting Hong Kong’s position as a leading international aviation hub," Cathay chief customer and commercial officer, Lavinia Lau, said.
