SAA appoints another CEO

South African Airways (SAA) has appointed Musa Zwane as the state-owned carrier’s seventh chief executive in less than four years. Read More » Zwane, the head of the airline’s maintenance unit, replaces Thuli Mpshe after she held the position for less than four months. The switch came after chief financial officer, Wolf Meyer, resigned amid a series of departures from the carrier’s senior ranks in recent months. Zwane was appointed “due to operational demands within the business”, SAA spokesman, Tlali Tlali, said Tuesday. SAA is expected to announce Meyer’s replacement on Monday.
