South Korea’s PARATA AIR announced on social media that it has secured approval from Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for U.S. routes, following approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). Read More » It added that with both Korean and U.S. approvals secured, it is now preparing for ticket sales on the Incheon–Los Angeles route, targeting a start as early as the fourth quarter of 2026. “Additional procedures, including security approval from the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and operational approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), remain underway. Once these processes are completed, PARATA AIR will announce its detailed launch schedule,” PARATA AIR said. According to local media reports, by launching flights to the U.S., PARATA AIR sees an opportunity to fill the void left by Asiana Airlines following its merger into Korean Air (KAL).
