Read More » The Europe-based manufacturer told reporters in Hong Kong yesterday there had been no pushback in delivery timelines for new aircraft among airlines in Asia-Pacific in response to market conditions. Airbus said airlines in the Asia-Pacific were expected to take delivery of more than 6,880 new passenger aircraft with more than 100 seats in the 20-year period between 2026 and 2045. Of those 5,090 were narrowbody aircraft and 1,790 were widebody aircraft. China was expected to receive 8,830 new commercial passenger aircraft (7,480 narrowbody and 1,350 widebody) and India receive 3,480 aircraft (3,180 narrowbody and 300 widebody) over the next two decades. The total fleet in service in Asia-Pacific was forecast to grow from 3,140 today to 7,570 by 2045. In India, the fleet was expected to increase from 690 today to 3,160 by 2045, and from 4,090 to 9,850 in China.
