Drukair, Royal Bhutan Airlines, the national flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bhutan, announced today its selection of CFM International’s LEAP-1A engines to power five Airbus A320neo family aircraft. The order consists of three A320neo and two A321XLR aircraft, which the airline announced in 2024.
Uzbekistan Airways and Lufthansa Technik have signed a long-term agreement for comprehensive component support services covering the carrier’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A320ceo/neo fleets through 2035. Under the agreement, Lufthansa Technik will provide extensive component pool support and supply services for Uzbekistan Airways’ fleet, ensuring rapid access to spare parts and helping maintain high operational reliability and aircraft availability across the airline’s network.
Qantas has officially opened its new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide. Based in the Adelaide CBD, the purpose-built technology and innovation centre will accelerate the delivery of digital experiences for customers.
Vietjet Thailand announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangkok Aviation Center (BAC) for the White Elephant Project 2026, a strategic initiative aimed at developing the next generation of Thai commercial pilots. The partnership establishes a structured pathway for university students and aspiring aviation professionals, covering recruitment, selection, and flight training in alignment with CAAT requirements and Vietjet Thailand’s operational standards.
