Hong Kong budget carrier, HK Express, will acquire ten more A321s to add to its earlier commitments for A320neos and A321s, a decision that will take it closer to its expanded target of a 50 aircraft fleet by 2018. Read More » The leased aircraft will bring the number of A321s in the airline’s fleet to 12. Lessor, Arctic Aviation Assets, had earlier signed an agreement to lease 12 188-seat A320neos to the carrier.

In a statement issued earlier today, HK Express said it will finish the year with 13 aircraft and have a fleet of 21 by December 2016. It will be flying a minimum of 39 airplanes by the end of December 2018, but has a target of a 50 airplane fleet in three years, depending on slot availability at Hong Kong International Airport.
