Air Canada to end nonstop service to Singapore

Singapore will lose its sole nonstop link to Canada next year, with Air Canada confirming it will end flights to the city from Vancouver in January. Read More » The Star Alliance member launched nonstop flights between Vancouver and Singapore with 787-9 aircraft in 2024 and currently offers four or five flights a week on the route, depending on the time of year. An Air Canada spokesperson told local media the airline had invested significant resources to support the route. However, the level of demand did not meet business targets for the route to continue operating. As one of the longest routes in the Air Canada network, the recent jump in jet fuel prices had also put additional pressure on the service. Singapore Airlines ended flights between Singapore and Vancouver in October 2023. The last Air Canada service from Singapore will be on January 26 2027.
