COMAC to partner with Asman Airlines to enter Kyrgyz market

Read More » A key element of the partnership will involve “cooperation in continuing airworthiness and assisting the validation process for COMAC type certificates in Kyrgyzstan, in coordination with the State Civil Aviation Agency.” The parties plan to conduct economic feasibility studies on operating the C909 and C919 across Asman Airlines’ current and planned route network. Airline representatives are also scheduled to visit COMAC’s manufacturing facilities in Shanghai to observe final assembly lines and hold “substantive talks on further avenues of cooperation,” the company said. Asman Airlines currently operates three Dash 8 Q400 turboprops. In March, the airline’s parent company signed a deal with BBAM Aircraft Leasing & Management to acquire two Airbus A321 aircraft.
