October 14th 2026
Firefly has extended cancellations of its flights between Kuala Lumpur Subang and Singapore Seletar through to Friday (October 15) due to persistent haze impacting conditions on the route. Read More » The Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) carrier first started cancelling service on the route from October 10 to October 12. These cancellations have now extended to Friday, with passengers offered alternative flights on sister carrier Malaysia Airlines from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Singapore Changi or a full refund. "Given the evolving weather situation, Firefly is monitoring developments closely," Firefly said. "The safety of our passengers and crew remains our utmost priority." Haze conditions have also impacted flight operations elsewhere in the region, with Lion Air Group carriers Lion Air and Wings Air earlier this week cancelling services and retiming some flights to and from Sentani Airport in Jayapura. "Haze can reduce pilots’ visibility during landing and takeoff, making it more difficult to see the runway and its surroundings," Lion Air explained on its website. "Flight operations must therefore be adjusted in accordance with weather conditions and applicable safety requirements."
