China Southern names new chairman

Guangzhou’s China Southern Airlines has appointed vice transport minister, Wang Changshun, as its new chairman, after the former chairman, Si Xianmin, was dismissed in November following “serious violations of discipline” – a Chinese euphemism for corruption. Read More »
Wang, 58, will also be the carrier’s general manager. He previously served as chairman of Air China from 2011 to October 2014, as well as deputy chief of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
ATR appoints new CFO
The ATR Assembly of Members has appointed Giovanni Tramparulo, 56, as the manufacturer’s new CFO, in charge of controlling, accounting and treasury, sales financing, credit and risk management, as well as internal control. Tramparulo has held numerous positions at ATR from 1992-2014, including CFO from 2007-10.
