EVA Air succession controversy continues

Media reports this week suggested former EVA Air chairman and heir apparent, Chang Kuo-wei, is considering cutting all ties with the carrier and its parent, Evergreen Group, following his removal at an extraordinary board meeting two weeks ago.

Chang's lawyer told the Taipei Times the certified pilot is now considering selling his 11.45% stake in EVA, valued at approximately $240 million, to his brother, Song Yao-ming, as part of plans to raise capital for what may be a new airline.
