Boeing accelerates B737 MAX rollout and Airbus delivers second U.S.-built A321

Boeing has confirmed it will deliver its first B737 MAX 8 earlier than previously anticipated, The Wall Street Journal has reported, quoting Boeing Commercial Airplanes CEO, Ray Conner. Read More » The U.S. manufacturer said it would hand over the first MAX 8 to launch customer, Southwest Airlines, in first-half 2017, rather than in the third quarter of the year as originally planned.
Airbus’ U.S. capabilities gained momentum this week when the planemaker delivered its second Mobile-built A321. This latest frame went to American Airlines, while the first A321 was delivered to JetBlue in April.
