MRO: Japan Airlines (JAL) has extended its GoldCare Expendables parts inventory agreement with Boeing covering its B737, B767, B777 and B787 fleet, through to 2026. Philippine Airlines (PAL) has entered into an agreement with SR Technics and AerFin for engine support of its six CFM56-5C4-powered A340-300s.

OEMs: Malaysia Airlines has placed a $630 million order with CFM International for 50 LEAP-1B engines to power its 25 on-order B737 MAXs from 2019. Bloomberg this week reported Mitsubishi may delay first delivery of its MRJ to All Nippon Airways (ANA) by a year to mid-2018 on account of unspecified design upgrades.

Routes: Air India will replace its thrice-weekly Delhi-Moscow (DME) A320 service with a twice-weekly B787 service from November 26. Air Macau will add a second daily Macau-Pudong A319 rotation from October 30. It also operates double daily Macau-Hongqiao services. Air New Zealand will replace the B777-200ER with the B787-9 on the thrice-weekly Auckland-Buenos Aires route commencing November 6. Bangkok Airways has cancelled its planned thrice-weekly Suvarnabhumi-Chongqing route. EastarJet will add a daily Incheon-Hanoi B737-800 route from November 1. Flydubai will terminate its thrice-weekly Dubai-Zagreb B737-800 rotation starting November 6. Hainan Airlines plans to open a thrice-weekly Xian-Shenzhen-Auckland A330-200 rotation from December 31. HK Express will launch a four-weekly Hong Kong-Guam route starting December 15, and a thrice-weekly Hong Kong-Saipan service beginning January 17. Both routes will be served by an A320. Jeju Air will launch a twice-weekly Incheon-Sanya B737-800 flight from November 14. Thai Airways International (THAI) plans to deploy the A350 on one of its thrice-daily Bangkok-Beijing services from March 1, replacing a B777-300ER.
