Airbus and SIAEC MRO to open in December

Airbus and SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) will open their joint venture (JV) maintenance and overhaul company in December, following the announcement of the joint venture at the Singapore Air Show in February. Read More » Heavy Maintenance Singapore Services Pte Ltd (HMS Services) will be made up of SIAEC (65%) and Airbus (35%).
HMS Services will offer A380, A350 and A330 airframe maintenance and cabin upgrade and modification services to Asia-Pacific carriers and is “to be designated as the manufacturer’s Centre of Excellence for Heavy Maintenance for the A350 and A380 in the region”, a statement said.
Founded in 1992, SIAEC has more than 80 international carriers and aerospace equipment manufacturers.
