George Liu has joined Hong Kong Airlines’ (HKA’s) as its new chief marketing officer. Read More » Liu brings more than 25 years of experience to the aggressively expanding carrier, including ten years as Boeing’s director of global branding and marketing, based in the U.S. He previously was a president of communications at Boeing China.

“HKA is at an exciting stage of development as it evolves to become an international carrier. Leveraging on my experience and understanding of the industry and the marketing landscape across the globe, I am looking forward to working closely with the management team to take the airline to the next level,” Liu commented.


Airbus Commercial Aircraft promotes Dumont to head of engineering

Jean-Brice Dumont, 45, head of engineering at Airbus Helicopters, has been promoted to head of engineering at Airbus Commercial Aircraft, following the decision by Charles Champion, 61, to retire by year end.

Dumont will join Airbus’ commercial airplanes team on September 1 and take over from Champion in December. He also will become a member of the Airbus Commercial Aircraft management committee.

“I would like to express my sincere thanks to Charles Champion for his outstanding contribution to Airbus throughout his career,” said Tom Enders, Airbus SE CEO. “Since he joined Aérospatiale in 1980, he has been engaged in almost every aspect of the business from manufacturing to programmes, sales to customer services and, in the latter years, engineering. Airbus owes much to his experience, commitment and energy. I wish him all the best for his personal future.”
