Also on the leasing front, Philippine Airlines (PAL) will lease two additional B777-300ERs from Intrepid Aviation from December. Intrepid has three -300ERs in service with PAL.

And at CDB Aviation Lease Finance, an A320ceo has been delivered to Kathmandu-based Himalaya Airlines, which has three A320ceo that fly daily to Doha and Colombo.

In the Gulf, Dubai Aerospace Enterprises (DAE) last week signed off on the purchase of an undisclosed number of ATR 72-600s from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). Following the transaction, DAE will have 57 ATR turboprops.

"DAE firmly believes in the potential of the ATR 72-600 in regional networks, in terms of its technical capabilities and the superior customer experience it provides," said managing-director, Khalifa Al Daboos. "Especially in emerging markets, the ATR 72-600 has proven to be an invaluable asset that we will continue to invest in."

DAE has a portfolio of 126 owned, managed and on-order aircraft. It has 32 airline customers worldwide.

In related news, Singapore-based lessor Avation remained committed to the sale of all or part of its 22 strong ATR fleet. "The company has decided the optimal commercial outcome is a sale of a smaller portfolio of aircraft. It is in discussion with a single commercial lessor for a proposed sale of six existing leased ATR 72 aircraft," Avation said last week.
