HNA increases stake in Deutsche Bank

HNA has now increased its 3.04% stake in Deutsche Bank to 4.76%, becoming the bank’s third largest investor after the government of Qatar and BlackRock, one of the world’s largest asset management firms.
In related news, HNA and China Cinda Asset Management last Friday signed a strategic agreement to set up an industry buyout fund worth 20 billion yuan (US$2.91 billion), aimed at creating synergies in outbound acquisitions and financial leasing.
