Lessors finalize MAX orders

Air Lease Corp (ALC) and Singapore-headquartered BOC Aviation this week finalized their B737 MAX orders after foreshadowing their commitments for the aircraft at the Paris Air Show in June. Read More » ALC has 2020. The lessor has 49 Dreamliners in its books. 

“These additional orders reflect ALC’s highly successful placements, to date, of our MAX and 787 order book and the need to fulfil the incremental demand we are experiencing for these aircraft with existing and new customers for ALC,” said CEO and president, John Plueger.

Separately, BOC Aviation has firmed up a commitment for ten B737 MAX 10s for delivery from 2021. “We are pleased to add the B737 MAX 10 aircraft to our future delivery pipeline, which offers airlines greater capacity combined with excellent operating costs and fuel efficiency,” said BOC Aviation CEO and managing director, Robert Martin. “As a launch customer for the programme, this demonstrates the strength of our relationship with Boeing and will help us continue to deliver superior solutions for our airline customers.” BOC Aviation has now committed to 84 MAX series aircraft.
