Philippine Airlines (PAL) is entering a new era of expansion. Read More » The Jaime Bautista-led flag carrier plans to launch nonstop A350-900 flights from Manila to Seattle in 2018 and triangular routes to Chicago and Houston via Vancouver.

With the addition of Chicago, Houston and Seattle, PAL’s U.S. network will almost double in size. The airline flies to Honolulu, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.

PAL plans to fly to Chicago four times a week and to Houston three each week. Both services will be extensions of its nonstop Manila-Vancouver flights.

From December 16, PAL will fly nonstop four times a week between Manila and Toronto, eliminating a previous stop in Vancouver.

By June 2018, the carrier plans to operate Manila-New York nonstop with the A350ULR, removing a previous refuelling stop, also in Vancouver.

“The Airbus A350 is our new ultra-long-range flagship, a 295 seat wide-body airplane that will help us link the Philippines nonstop to Toronto, New York, Chicago, and other eastern board points in North America,” Bautista told Philippine Airspace.

The airline has eight B777-300ERs in service, with two more due in December. Six A350ULRs will arrive from June, 2018. PAL holds options on another six A350 production slots.
