GDS: Sabre Corporation has entered into a new distribution agreement with Aviation Services Mongolia (ASM) to distribute the Sabre GDS in Mongolia, including converting Air Market - Mongolia’s largest travel agency – to the Sabre GDS.
OEMs: Airbus has started final assembly of the first A330-800, the smallest member of the A330neo series, ahead of a planned maiden flight in mid-2018.
Routes: AirAsia X will launch four-weekly Kuala Lumpur-Male A330-300 flights February 6, complementing daily AirAsia A320 flights on the route. Aurora Airlines will increase frequency on the Vladivostok-Narita Q400 route from twice- to thrice-weekly starting December 12. Etihad Airways will terminate its thrice-weekly Abu Dhabi-Jaipur A320 route on February 28 and it will reduce Abu Dhabi-Kozhikode from four- to thrice-daily A320 flights from December 1. Garuda Indonesia will increase frequency on the Denpasar-Melbourne A330 route from daily to eight-weekly starting December 29. Jeju Air will resume daily Incheon-Ho Chi Minh City B737-800 flights on December 27. Lucky Air will add a thrice-weekly Lijiang-Kuala Lumpur A320 route on December 12. Malindo Air will launch a daily Kuala Lumpur-Phnom Penh B737-800 route on December 1, as well as a twice-weekly Kuala Lumpur-Bengaluru B737-900ER route on December 21. HNA subsidiary, Suparna Airlines, will launch daily Sanya-Pudong and daily Sanya-Zhengzhou B787 flights from December 15. Tigerair Taiwan will launch a twice-weekly Taipei-Komatsu A320 route on January 18, its 14th route to Japan.
