MRO: Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services has announced the completion of the first B737-800NG Wi-Fi installation in China at Boeing Shanghai’s hangar at Shanghai Pudong Airport. It will retrofit 9 Air’s 14 B737NGs with in-flight connectivity.
Routes: Air France will launch thrice-weekly Paris-Taipei B777-200ER flights from April 16. Air Mauritius has terminated its weekly Mauritius-Beijing A340-300 flight and it will suspend its weekly Mauritius-Chengdu route from July 9. However, the airline will increase frequency to Shanghai from twice- to thrice-weekly from July 6. Beijing Capital Airlines will increase frequency on the Qingdao-Moscow A330-200 route from thrice- to four-weekly starting March 25. Edelweiss will launch twice-weekly Zurich-Colombo A340-300 flights from November 3, followed by twice-weekly Zurich-Ho Chi Minh A340-400 flights launching November 15. Fiji Airways will launch a thrice-weekly Nadi-Narita A330 route on July 3. Indonesia AirAsia will launch a daily Medan-Singapore and a daily Padang-Singapore A320 route on February 9. JAL will increase frequency on the Narita-Guam B767-300ER route from daily to double daily beginning March 25 and it will also increase frequency on the Osaka-Honolulu B787-8 route from daily to double daily from April 27. Jeju Air will launch a thrice-weekly Incheon-Kagoshima B737-800 flight on January 6. Spring Airlines will launch a four-weekly Ningbo-Shantou-Phnom Penh A320 route on December 25, followed by thrice-weekly Ningbo-Shantou-Siem Reap flights launching the following day. Thai VietJet Air will add a four-weekly Bangkok-Da Lat A320 route on December 18.
