GDS: Amadeus has announced positive revenue and EBITDA growth of 8.5% and 9.7%, respectively, for the financial year ended December 31. Read More » The increases saw Amadeus’ revenue grow to €4,852.7 million, while its EBITDA increased to €1,865.1 million. The GDS attributed the solid financial performance to consistent growth across all business units and its successful international diversification strategy. Sabre this week announced an agreement with Hong Kong Airlines to implement Sabre AirCentre Crew technology across the carrier’s fleet, a solution that offers a range of crew scheduling, management, services and analytical capabilities.
Routes: Air Mauritius will increase Mauritius-Singapore-Kuala Lumpur A330-200 flights from four- to five-weekly starting October 30. Air New Zealand plans to launch a five-weekly Auckland-Taipei B787-9 seasonal route from November 1 through to March 30. Air Seoul will increase Incheon-Kalibo A321 service from four-weekly to daily commencing March 5. Alitalia will increase Rome-Incheon A330-200 flights from thrice- to four-weekly beginning April 30. Cebu Pacific Air will launch a thrice-weekly Manila-Melbourne A330-300 route on August 14. China Southern Airlines will replace the A330-300 with the A380 on the daily Beijing-Amsterdam route from July 10 through to October 8. JC Cambodia has launched a thrice-weekly Siem Reap-Kunming A320 route and a thrice-weekly Siem Reap-Xian A320 route. Sichuan Airlines will add a thrice-weekly Hangzhou-Nanning-Singapore A320 service from March 27. Spring Airlines will add a daily Chengdu-Phuket A320 route from March 25. T’Way Airlines will launch a thrice-weekly Daegu-Vladivostok B737-800 route on April 6. VietJet Air will increase Ho Chi Minh City-Tainan A321 flights from five-weekly to daily starting June 21.
