Using leased A321ceo aircraft, KC International will start six weekly flights to Bangkok and four-weekly flights each to Hong Kong and Siem Reap commencing March 31. Starting the next day, the start-up will add a thrice-weekly Phnom Penh-Taipei route.

KC International is a Cambodian-Chinese joint venture with a start-up capital of US$100 million. The carrier’s designated IATA code is 3Q.

The airline is not to be confused with JC International Airlines, the Ruili Airlines-backed carrier which launched last year, also focusing on Cambodia-China operations.

Other airlines that have launched or are planning to launch in Cambodia include Small Planet Airlines Cambodia, Prince International Airlines and sister carrier Cambodia Airways, as well as Air Seam Reap.
