Ruili Airlines launches maiden international routes

China’s Ruili Airlines will launch its maiden international flights this week. Read More » From Sunday, the Kunming-based carrier will launch Kunming-Sihanoukville to mainly cater to Mainland gamblers. Home to more than 30 casinos, Sihanoukville has enjoyed an influx of Chinese money in recent years.

From April 4, Ruili also will add a four a week Kunming-Xishuangbanna-Chiang Mai route, followed by three a week Kunming-Xishuangbanna-Chiang Rai flights from April 10. Launched in 2014, Ruili Airlines has 84 scheduled daily flights to 31 Mainland destinations serviced with seven B737-700s and eight B737-800s. It has ordered B737 MAX and B787-9 aircraft and plans to have a fleet of 80 airplanes by 2025. Last year, Ruili Airlines launched a subsidiary in Cambodia, JC International Airlines. The airlines are owned by Yunnan Jingcheng Group.
