Malaysia Airlines receives 5th A350

Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) has taken delivery of its fifth A350-900, which it will fly to Osaka, Tokyo and London. Read More » The airline has ordered six A350-900s, all on lease from ALC. The final aircraft from the order is scheduled for delivery in June.

MAB is the only airline to offer a first class cabin on the A350, with a configuration of four first class, 35 in business and 247 in economy seats.

MAB group CEO, Captain Izham Ismail, said: “We are very excited to welcome this new addition to our family. With its technological advancements the A350-900 is an important milestone for us on this journey, helping boost our competitiveness on our long haul flights. The addition of the A350-900 also underlines our commitment to operate a young and modern fleet.”

MAB operates six A380s, now five A350s, 15 A330-300s, two A330-200s and three A330-200Fs. It also flies more than 50 B737-800s and has 25 B737MAXs and eight B787-9s on order.
