Indonesia’s TransNusa transitions to all-ATR fleet

Indonesian regional carrier, TransNusa, will add three ATR72-600s to its fleet this year, replacing two BAE146s and a Fokker 70. Read More » Following the transition, the airline’s fleet will be six ATR72-600s and a single ATR42-500.
The additional ATRs will allow the airline to double its domestic destinations to 30, said the its managing director, Bayu Sutanto.
TransNusa primarily serves Eastern Indonesia from its base in Kupang, including Labuan Bajo, “the new Bali”, as AirAsia Indonesia Group CEO, Pak Dendy Kurniawan, described it to Orient Aviation in June.
