Xiamen Air to order A321neoLR?

Xiamen Airlines, an all-Boeing operator, could soon be ordering A321neo long-range (LR) aircraft, Bloomberg reported this week, citing sources familiar with the transaction. Read More »

An Airbus order would be a true breakthrough for the European manufacturer, given Xiamen Air flies more than 170 Boeing B737NGs, B737 MAXs, B757s and B787s. Bloomberg said negotiations between the airline and Airbus began in May as the trade war between China and the U.S. intensified.

Xiamen Air is a SkyTeam member with a large domestic and regional network as well as a growing number of long-haul destinations in its network. The carrier is a China Southern Airlines subsidiary.
