Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has announced the appointment of Philip See as new CEO of its Firefly subsidiary, effective January 1, succeeding Ignatius Ong, who will stay with the group as Malaysia Airlines chief revenue officer. Read More »

Philip See is currently head of strategy and network for Malaysia Airlines, reporting directly to group CEO, Izham Ismail. See joined the airline in 2015 from consulting firm McKinsey & Company, although he is no stranger to MAG. He previously served in the Turnaround Management Office (TMO) in Malaysia Airlines, back in 2004.

Other management changes include Ibrahim Mohamed Salleh as CEO of MABKargo effective September 1 and Hazman Hilmi Sallahuddin as CEO of Project Amal from October 1.

Ibrahim has more than 20 years of experience at MABKargo. However, prior to his appointment as CEO MABKargo, he was COO of PT Jasa Angkasa Semesta (a subsidiary of Singapore’s SATS Limited).

Hazman was with Khazanah Nasional Berhad where he held several senior position at the firm’s European offices.

“I am confident that the new leadership will bring new energy and purpose to the business. The diversity of our new leaders, their backgrounds and experience will help us reach our goals as a Group,” said MAG CEO, Izham Ismail.
