CODE SHARES: Japan Airlines and Xiamen Airlines commenced their code share partnership on Fuzhou-Osaka, Hangzhou-Osaka, Xiamen-Osaka and Xiamen Tokyo Narita on June 3. Read More » Sichuan Airlines has expanded its code share with China Southern Airlines to Changsha-Kuala  Lumpur and Guangzhou to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.  

MANUFACTURERS: One June 1, The C Series Aircraft Limited Partnership, manufacturer of the A220 formally changed its name to the Airbus Canada Limited Partnership. The newly named OEM is majority owned by Airbus SE. Its other shareholders are Bombardier Inc. and Investissement Quebec.   

ROUTES: Delta Air Lines has delayed its A330-900neo Seattle-Shanghai Pudong route introduction July 15. Hainan Airlines will offer a three times a week Xi’an-Osaka service from July, depending on regulatory approval. Lion Air subsidiary, Malindo Air, will launch daily Kuala Lumpur-Denpasar-Sydney flights on August 14. Vietnam Airlines will commence a twice a week A321 Danang-Busan service on July 20, the airline’s third destination in South Korea after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh also to Busan.
