MRO: China Southern Airlines (CSA) and GE Aviation have agreed to a 12-year TrueChoice agreement for the carrier’s 30 787s, with the last due to arrive at CSA next year. Read More »

Vietnam Airlines has signed a 12-year EngineWise agreement for Pratt & Whitney GTF engine MRO for the airline’s 20 A321neo. The airline accepted its first A321neo a year ago.

LEASING: BOC Aviation has delivered the final two A321neo of five of the type it has leased to Sichuan Airlines. They are powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF PW1100G-JM engines.

SUSTAINABLE AVIATION: The Qantas Group intends to reduce its net carbon emissions to zero by 2050. The group announced this week it would invest US$33.4 million in the project, double the number of flights on Qantas and Jetstar it offsets and cap net emissions at 2020 levels. All airline subsidiaries of the group will participate in the program. All Nippon Airways (ANA) has accepted its latest passenger aircraft, a 777-300ER, that was flown from Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ Everett facility to Tokyo fueled by a blend of sustainable aviation fuel manufactured by LanzaTech from waste gas derived ethanol and jet fuel. ANA said the success of the flight was a major step towards full-scale sustainable aviation fuel use at the carrier.
