EASA certifies A321 converted freighter

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certified the Airbus A321 passenger-to-freighter conversion. Read More » Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW), the joint venture between ST Engineering and Airbus that is responsible for the program said on February 25 the A321P2F has received its supplemental type certificate (STC) one month after the aircraft's maiden flight on January 22. Airbus has said previously the A321P2F was capable of carrying up to 27.9 metric tonnes of cargo in a two-deck layout of up to 14 containers on the main deck and up to 10 containers on the lower deck. The aircraft has a range of 2,300 nautical miles.
